Go See “Go, Dog, Go!” en Espanol — Starring a Fargo Native

MINNEAPOLIS — It’s a timely, bilingual take on a beloved children’s book, and it’s taking the stage right now at the nationally-renowned Children’s Theatre Company in the Twin Cities.

And it stars a Fargo native.

Kimberly Richardson grew up in Fargo and got her stage training here.

Now, she’s appearing in the Spanish/English adaptation of P.D. Eastman’s “Go, Dog, Go!”

The show opened about a week ago, and Richardson says it’s getting great audience participation, which is a feature of some parts of the show.

She says the children in the audience seem unfazed about the idea of picking up a new language in a way adults might not be.

Richardson Zoomed in to the Morning Show to talk about how kids are responding to the shows, what it was like growing up as an aspiring dancer and actor in Fargo, and what she loves about bringing the popular children’s book to life.

The show runs through February 20th.
