Pet Connection: Meet Elvira

FERTILE, Minn. — If you ever wondered just how dedicated the animal rescue workers of our region are, this week’s Pet Connection is the perfect example.

Smiley’s Rescue founder Sid Williams spent Thursday morning braving the slippery roads from rural Minnesota all the way in to our studio in Fargo to make sure little Elvira the tuxedo kitty got her chance in the spotlight and on camera to find her furever home.

Elvira’s a healthy young kitty somewhere between two and four years old who loves humans.

There’s no way to overemphasize with this cat; she wants all the humans, all the time.

She had her best day ever in the studio getting lots of cuddles and pets and attention from the KVRR Morning Show crew, and Williams says as long as you’re not another cat, that’s usually how she is.

She really enjoys children as well, and can also get along fine with calm dogs.

That’s convenient, especially if you’re looking to keep your household to a single-cat situation, says Williams.

This way, when your children pressure you to adopt another cat, you can tell them it’s out of the question because of Elvira’s need to be the only one in your life.

If sweet Elvira might be just the right addition to your single-cat household, check out her adoption info, here:
