Minnesota Controversial Pipeline Closer To Reality

A controversial pipeline is one step closer to becoming a reality for Minnesota.

An administrative judge recommended approving the Sandpiper Z shaped route to the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission.

The pipeline would cost nearly $3 billion stretching from the North Dakota oil patch through Northern Minnesota to Wisconsin.

Opponents of the recommendation are concerned about the pipeline running through lakes and wetlands.

North Dakota has already approved its portion of the pipeline.
