Junior Classical League Convention In Fargo
Students across North Dakota are brushing up on their Latin skills.
The North Dakota Junior Classical League held an annual state–wide convention at Fargo South High School.
Junior Classical League is a student run organization that promotes the study of Latin and the classical period of history.
Many clubs from the state and one from Minnesota participated in speeches, testing and competition.
“These kids are so engaged in the classics which you wouldn’t think is really interesting but it actually is, and I think that’s the cool thing about our convention is we’re trying to keep Latin alive,” said ND Junior Classical League President Preeya Katti.
Several students plan on attending the national convention in July in Texas.
