Little Caesars in Moorhead was robbed in broad daylight this afternoon. One eyewitness says he could have predicted it.
Curt Cavalier believes he saw the suspect prior to the pizza franchise being robbed.
Cavalier was going about his day like any other when he noticed someone sitting along the side of Little Caesars. Someone he thinks may have been the robber.
The MCRS employee says, “I went in and got my supplies and was out about in a minute and when I came out he was sitting with his head in his hands. I almost thought, ‘Well, maybe he’s hungry. Maybe he needs money.”
He left the area for about 10–minutes. He said when he came back, he spoke with one of the pizza franchise’s employees.
Cavalier adds, “She said that he held them up and her manager told her that he had wheedled a gun.”
The suspect is described as black male in his 20s, possibly 6–feet tall with a thin build wearing light brown camouflage pants, gray hooded “The North Face” sweatshirt, and a ski mask covering his head.
Officers are searching the surround areas for the suspect with the help of K–9.
Moorhead Police Lt. Tory Jacobson says, “He left on foot heading northbound from here. Did cross 24th Avenue. We do currently have a police K–9 out attempting a track.”
The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and no one was injured.
