New Candidate for Fargo Commission

Another candidate has put his hat in the ring for Fargo’s city commission race.

Cole Carley announced he is running in the special election in April for city commissioner.

He held his announcement at the Red River Zoo saying this race is “wild”.

He is one of 6 candidates for the seat being vacated by acting Mayor Tim Mahoney, who is running for mayor against Brad Wimmer.

Cole Carley said, “Proud to have lived in Fargo for so much of my life, I’m proud to have been a voice for Fargo in the nation and the world for tourism and I’d be very proud to serve as a voice for the citizens in city government.”

Carley says his top priorities as city commissioner would be water, growth in housing, business and public safety and health.

Carley served as CEO of the Fargo–Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau before retiring in 2012.
