Valentine’s Day Slow For Floral Shops

 It may be the day of love but flower deliveries are down for local floral shops.

Shotwell Floral says their Valentine’s Day deliveries are usually slower when the day lands on a Saturday.

Last year on Valentine’s Day they had around 800 deliveries and this year they have around 200.

They had more deliveries sent out yesterday.

“Really the biggest thing is when Valentine’s lands on what day, really makes an immense difference about what happens for deliveries,” said Shotwell Floral Vice President J.D. Shotwell.

Another big day for floral companies is Mothers Day.
