North Dakota Lawmakers Seek Surge Funding
North Dakota lawmakers want more fast–track funding for areas affected by rapid growth.
The House Appropriations Committee reviewed the “surge funding” bill passed by the Senate for $1.1 billion in special infrastructure funding.
State Budget Director Pam Sharp wants the bill to include an additional $23 million for housing, more law enforcement and oilfield inspectors.
The committee did not take any action on the bill.
If it’s approved, the money would be available in time for the construction season.
