Aquatic Program Helps Arthritis Patients

There’s a fitness program for those with arthritis.

Touchmark Health and Fitness Club is providing a Arthritis Foundation Aquatics Program.

It’s taking exercising to the water.

The class in the pool, gives those who have the disease a different way to exercise their joints and muscles.

The buoyancy and heat of the water helps relieve the pains of arthritis.

Health Club Director Mark Minette said, “Anything they’re doing, they’re working against the resistance of the water so it’s kind of a win win to exercise in the pool.”

To try the class it’s $9 for a visitors pass, you must be at least 40 years old to attend.
