LIVE: Talking the Birds and the Bees with Audubon Dakota
Believe it or not, it's a family-friendly event.
We’ve only got a couple more days of good weather to enjoy the fall splendor of the region.
And Audubon Dakota is giving you a great chance this week to get out there and enjoy it — and make sure our wild friends can enjoy it too — before the snow flies.
TheĀ “Call to Earth” Audubon Dakota event is this Wednesday, and they need volunteers.
They’re looking for people of all ages to pitch in and help clean up the pollinator garden at Lions Conservancy Park.
If it’s not raining that afternoon, volunteers can also help collect prairie seeds.
It’s a chance to learn more about the species of the region, and to help keep bees and other pollinators healthy.
They’ll also introduce you to some of the winter visitor species of birds that have already settled in for the season.
Megan Carter-Johnson of Audubon Dakota Zoomed in live to talk with the Morning Show’s Emily Welker about all the animal activity you can catch if you come out to volunteer, and how you can learn to help out bird and bee habitat right there in your own yard.
