First Winter Weather Storm is Hitting North Dakota

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Here in North Dakota some areas are beginning to feel the effects of winter weather.

A winter storm is expected to come through tonight and tomorrow night throughout North Dakota.

Areas in western North Dakota like Minot have already begun to experience it, and snow is being reported on roads further west,

Fargo is expected to experience from a trace to 2 inches, but more is possible and will mainly fall tomorrow night.

So this storm that is currently affecting us and Northwestern North Dakota is going to be the first wave and that is going to clear out tomorrow morning.” says meteorologist Alexandra Kent from the Grand Forks NWS office.

Alexandra also said “And then maybe we will see a few flakes here in the valley from this but the majority of our impacts are going to be coming into tomorrow.”

Impacts on transportation are expected, so everyone should get their cars and minds ready for winter driving.
