6th Annual All-Star Week Kickoff

FARGO — Summer sports season is in full swing, and the 6th annual All-Star week is starting today in the metro.

This year’s headliners include men’s figure skating great Scott Hamilton and former Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway, as well as former standout Bison coaches and talent.

They also include Roger Maris Junior, the son of the late baseball star and Fargo native Roger Maris.

The focus for the last few years has been on free youth sports clinics, galas, golf games, and radiothons for adults to raise awareness about cancer research.

Maris says the youth clinics set kids up for a lifetime as active, healthy adults.

He joined the Morning Show to talk about how they’ve managed to keep momentum going for the fundraiser year after year, and how important it is to keeping the Roger Maris Cancer Center going.
