Yard Fire Spreads to House in rural Brandon Township, NW of Alexandria

DOUGLAS CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A large grass fire spreads to a woman’s house in rural Brandon Township, about 10 miles northwest of Alexandria.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office got a call about the rapidly spreading fire from 81-year-old Diann Guenther just before noon.

Brandon Fire Department responded to put the fire out but it had already claimed a large portion of the house.

The sheriff’s office says the fire is not under suspicion of malicious intent.
