Pennington and Itasca County Attorneys Named To Ninth Judicial District

ST. PAUL (KVRR) — Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District is getting two new judges.

Gov. Tim Walz has appointed Matti Adam and Seamus Duffy to the bench.

They will be replacing Judge Darlene Rivera Spalla in Mahnomen County and Judge Shari Schluchter in Beltrami County.

Duffy is the Pennington County Attorney while Adam is the Itasca County Attorney.

The Ninth Judicial District covers a large area including 17 counties in northern Minnesota.
