Gumby could be a great bird for someone who might be afraid of the commitment it takes to keep birds as pets.

The 11-year-old White-Capped Pionus is pretty laid back. He won’t demand attention as much as other parrots usually do. Birds like him typically have lifespans of around 30 years. He has a beautiful white head with green plumage along with blue and red feathers around his tail.

He’s not very loud, but he will chirp up if he’s around other loud animals. He’s lived with dogs before, so he would do well in homes with other animals.

He was pretty nervous in his TV debut on Pet Connection, so we’re really hoping to find him a home where he can relax and be himself.
