Sturgis Motorcycle Rally DUI Arrests Hit 100

STURGIS, S.D. (KVRR) — Driving under the influence arrests hit 100 at the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota.

From last Saturday through this morning, 89 DUI arrests had been made in Sturgis with another 11 DUI arrests being made in the Rapid City District.

South Dakota Department of Public Safety keeps track of the numbers including crashes, citations and fatalities which stands at three for this year’s gathering.

Drug arrests are around 250.

Nearly 1,000 citations have been issued along with more than 2,700 warnings.

The rally runs through Sunday, August 11.
