LIVE: Adult Potions Class
CASSELTON, N.D. — They’re stirring up a little spirituality in the region these days, based on some homegrown herbalism.
Plants and potion-making are on the syllabus at Casselton-based Massage Alchemy.
The “Adult Potions” class is now open for students to register.
It follows what owner Shannon Bueche says have been popular children’s potions lessons they’ve offered for a few years now.
The class comes along with a recent surge of interest on social media in herbal remedies, rituals, energy practices, and potion-making.
The classes go over the physical properties of each plant, and teach students how to create their own concoctions meant to address and help relieve symptoms of stress and anxiety.
It will also teach you methods of extracting the active oils and chemicals in the plants, and teach you how to make your own mixtures out of them.
Bueche says all her botanicals are grown on-site.
The class also goes over safe plant handling and processing methods, as well as delving into the source of the symbolism and cultural significance behind the plants students are working with.
Bueche joined the Morning Show for a live interview about potions, the traditions that gave rise to potion-making, and where you may even be using them in daily life without realizing.
