International Potluck Celebrates Global Flavor
The event was part of Concordia College's programming for International Education Week.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — The tables lining the Centrum inside the Knutson Campus Center at Concordia College almost sagged with the weight of global fare as students and faculty alike streamed in to get a taste of the world.
The International Potluck Food Festival took place from 6 to 8 p.m. on November 21st. Alongside the food and camaraderie was a panel discussion – and a sense of the true scope of the diversity at the college.
“Concordia, we have a lot of nationalities. I mean, I’m from Cameroon,” said Chris Logan T., a student ambassador and current junior at the school.
“I know people from Bangladesh, I know people from Iraq, I know people from Germany, France, I know people from China. So there are more than 20 or 30 countries represented at Concordia College.”
This is just one of the long list of events that have been offered for International Education Week at Concordia.
Looking ahead – Saturday night will feature the International Student Organization Festival, which promises performances, dances, music, and a fashion and flag show.
