Police identify man shot by officers in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KVRR) – Jamestown Police have identified the man who was shot and killed by police following a shooting incident outside of Fred’s Den early Tuesday.
The shooter was 27-year-old Devin Fontenot of Jamestown.
Police say Fontenot refused to comply with an order given by a Jamestown Police Officer to drop his weapon and his actions jeopardized the safety of the officer and others.
Four Jamestown police officers were placed on paid administrative leave following the shooting.
The shooting remains under investigation by the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
