WASHINGTON, D.C. (KVRR) — An update on the effort to rename the Roseau Post Office in honor of former longtime postmaster Floyd B. Olson.

Rep. Michelle Fischbach introduced legislation last year to honor Olson and it passed in December.

She now says the name change is official as President Joe Biden has signed the bill.

Olson served as Roseau postmaster for twenty-five years and was a staple in the community.

He was a member of Rose Free Lutheran Church, Vice President of Roseau County History Board, and on the Roseau County Fair Board for decades.
