FARGO — Workers at West Acres’s newest department sore are putting the final touches in place ahead of the Von Maur grand opening celebration Saturday morning.

The company bills itself as an elevated shopping experience that offers hands-on, personalized customer service.

They have free gift wrapping, free shipping, and in-house alterations.

They also offer a variety of products from smaller, less well-known brands their buyers source internationally that other Fargo metra-area

Von Maur marketing and advertising director Jessica Stoltz says being family owned and privately held gives Von Maur the freedom to use a business model other department chains here don’t.

She visited with the Morning Show to talk about some of the more unusual products and services you’ll find at the retailer, and about what to expect for Saturday’s grand opening, including live music, gift giveaways, contests to win gift cards, and face painting and design-a-dress activities for children.
