First-Ever Cobber Fest Culminates in a Win for Concordia Football
It was also the first-ever night game played at the Jake.

MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) – Concordia College began a new tradition this year with its first-ever Cobber Fest.
The day-long celebration of all things Concordia kicked off Saturday afternoon with games, photo opportunities and live music.
There was also an ice cream social and language classes for those who would rather be indoors.
At five the festivities moved over to Jake Christiansen Stadium to gear up for the first-ever night game in Concordia Football history.
University staff explained why the investment in lights was so important.
“It brings people together, it brings people to the game who might not come to the game otherwise, it brings the community in on a Saturday night,” said president Dr. Colin Irvine. “It just gives us another chance to celebrate community.”
It hardly could have been a better debut of night football for the Cobbers as they defeated Mayville State 17-6 in front of an estimated 7,000 spectators.
