Sanford Health holds annual Halloween events for their youngest patients

FARGO — Sanford health got into the Halloween spirit today for the kids in their care.
This morning, nurses dressed up babies in the NICU for their first Halloween.
Several wore work outfits like a UPS driver or postal carrier, while others went the superhero route.
Later that afternoon, doctors and nurses also had a little reverse trick-or-treating with the kids.
Staff went room to room in costumes, handing out Halloween treats.
The costumes and the reversal of Halloween roles have become a tradition at Sanford.
“All three of us are physicians here and we like to kind of give back, especially kids on Halloween that don’t get to go trick or treating,” said CJ Mischel, a critical care pediatrician at Sanford. “We give and we give them candy and dress up and give them candy. So it’s turned into quite the spectacle, as you can see behind us.”
CJ and her coworkers have been dressing up as the witches from the movie Hocus Pocus for the last five years, and say they plan on wearing the costumes for as long as they are able.
