MN Governor candidate Lisa Demuth visits Moorhead with newly announced running mate

MOORHEAD — Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth hits the campaign trail and makes a stop in Moorhead.
The Republican appeared along with her running mate, Ryan Wilson, to talk with reporters and answer questions at the airport.
Wilson talked about their goal for less regulation for businesses, while Demuth talked about the need to end the polarization of politics.
While light on specifics, she also spoke on fighting fraud and the need for improving education in the state.
“As far as specific policies, we will continue to start laying out those plans, so I don’t have actual policies,” Demuth said. “But when our test scores are down in reading and our test scores are down in math, it means those businesses that are counting on an educated workforce are going to be struggling too.”
They also made stops in Duluth, Mankato and Paynesville.
