Three people injured in car-pickup collision in southeastern North Dakota

MOORETON, N.D. (KVRR-KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the driver of a car suffered serious injuries after he crossed the center line of State Highway 13 about a mile west of Mooreton shortly 2 Sunday afternoon and collided with a pickup.

The pickup was driven by a 52-year-old Wahpeton woman. She had a passenger, a juvenile. Both suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

The driver of the car was transported to Essentia Health in Fargo.

The car came to a stop in the middle of the highway. The pickup went into the ditch.

The patrol says it’s investigating to determine whether charges will be filed against the driver of the car, an 18-year-old Milnor man.

Ambulances from Wyndmer and Breckenridge responded to the scene. The highway was snow-covered and slippery and there was blowing snow at the time of the crash.
