Fifth Mural for Exterior of Fargo AMVETS Unveiled
The artwork will be officially installed on the morning of Friday, May 22.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The AMVETS in Downtown Fargo is ready to feature some new artwork on its exterior walls.
Local artist Kim Jore did all four existing murals outside AMVETS, with each representing a branch of the military.
Those were put up in 2025.
She was then commissioned by the Greenley family to do a fifth “Freedom is not Free” mural, which was unveiled to the public on Thursday evening.
Jore, who works out of her Riverzen hair studio in Moorhead, says this painting process has been just as exhilarating as the first four.
“It’s awesome to do your work in public – people that would come to the restaurant (Rustica), or my studio, would watch me as I paint,” she explained. “Seeing the process is an amazing thing that people like to watch.”
The new mural will be placed above the AMVETS patio, and it will be officially installed Friday morning.
