FARGO (KVRR) — City of Fargo engineers had another public input meeting regarding construction in south Fargo.

The intersection of University Drive South and 32nd Avenue South is set to close on Wednesday as construction continues in Phase 2 of Segment 3 for the ongoing 32nd Avenue South reconstruction project.

Business owners in the area, and members of the public were welcome to come and voice their concerns on how the construction may affect them, and how they can find ways to work around it.

“People kind of get frustrated as they’re trying to find where the detour routes are and how to get around,” said City of Fargo Civil Engineer Eric Hodgson. “So just give yourself some extra time, be safe, and be patient. If you got any questions, feel free to call us here at the city or come to one of these meetings, and we can explain everything to you.”

The latest construction will affect the intersection of University Drive South and 32nd Avenue South. It will be closed to all traffic, with detours for through traffic.

The city says all local businesses and properties in the area will remain accessible and that pedestrian access will be maintained on at least one side of the street at all times.

The city holds these meetings every other week. More information can also be found at the FargoStreets Facebook page.
