North Dakota Shakespeare Festival brings “Macbeth” to the region
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Something wicked this way comes, and it’s making its way to West Fargo tonight, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow.
The North Dakota Shakespeare Festival’s production of “Macbeth” is taking its tour to West Fargo’s POW/MIA Plaza for two nights of free performances in the open air.
For the actors, the ability to perform for audiences that may not have gotten to ever see a Shakespeare play before makes the production all the more meaningful.
“Yesterday we were so lucky that there was a renaissance festival going on downtown, which is kind of the dream crowd for a Shakespeare show. People were calling and responding during the show. They knew all the plot points, they were so invested in what was going on. I think each different group of people that we meet is so excited to see the show,” Louis Altman, who plays Macbeth said.
You can catch them tonight and Saturday at 7 P.M. in West Fargo, before they head off to Lemmon, S.D. and Hettinger, N.D. next week. You can find the full schedule HERE.
