CHICAGO (AP) – Patrick Kane scored two goals, Corey Crawford made 30 saves and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Minnesota Wild 4-1 on Sunday night to take a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference semifinals.Patrick Sharp had a goal and an assist as Chicago improved to 5-0 at home in this year’s playoffs. Jonathan Toews also scored in the second after a big play by Marian Hossa.Game 3 is Tuesday night in Minnesota.Defenseman Matt Dumba scored for the Wild, who are winless in eight postseason games at Chicago. Devan Dubnyk finished with 27 saves.
UND Baseball Falls to Texas-Pan American in Extras
GRAND FORKS, N.D.– Texas-Pan American scored in the top of the 10th inning and held on for a 4-3 win Sunday afternoon at Kraft Memorial Field in Western Athletic Conference action. UND got the go-ahead to second base in the bottom of the frame but the Broncs were able to get out of the inning to salvage one game of the three-game series.

SAN DIEGO (AP) – The San Diego Chargers selected North Dakota State linebacker Kyle Emanuel on Saturday in the fifth round of the NFL draft, 153rd overall. The 6-foot-3, 255-pound Emanuel had 19 1-2 sacks last year and would fit at outside in the Chargers’ 3-4 alignment.Emanuel, the Missouri Valley’s defensive player of the year, made 16 1-2 tackles for losses and 10 sacks in eight games against top 25 opponents.The Chargers sent their fourth-rounder to San Francisco as part of the deal to move up Thursday and take Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon with the 15th pick overall.
