UND Crushes Northeastern, Earns Berth in Region Final
CINCINNATI – University of North Dakota forward and Grand Forks native Johnny Simonson began his sophomore year with a hat trick in UND’s exhibition win over the University of Manitoba, then potted two more goals in the team’s first five regular-season games. The well went bone-dry after that, however, as Simonson has been unable to find the net since October.
Sem, Mertens Earn First Team All-State Honors
The 2015-2016 NDHSAA Class A Boys’ Basketball All-State teams were announced on Thursday, with Fargo North wing Siman Sem and Devils Lake star Jacob Mertens serving as the two EDC players to earn First Team Honors.

Fargo, ND (KVRR-TV) The Class A Girl’s Basketball All-State team was announced today. NDSU Commit Sarah Jacobson was one of two Shanley Deacons to be named to the list as Jacobson and Lauren Rotunda were both named first team All-State.
