Social Distancing: Baby Bison!

National Buffalo Museum Welcomes 1st Babies Of The Season

Spring is the time of rebirth, and it feels like that this year a lot more than last year, with vaccines available and stuff reopening. Last week in our Discover North Dakota series we visited Jamestown. And perhaps their most famous attraction has some new additions just waiting for a socially distanced hello.

New baby bison! This is the first new calf in the herd at the National Buffalo Museum.
The museum shared this video on Facebook.
It was born around May first. At least that’s when they first spotted it. The little fella is keeping close to mama as it explores the outside world.
So cute.

And on Tuesday the museum shared on Facebook that calf number two was born. Now they can play together. You can view the heard from the Buffalo Museum.

Does this spring feel a little more hopeful for you than last year? Are you excited to see baby animals running around? If you manage to snag any pics, let me know!
