LIVE: Pet Connection: Meet Turtle

FARGO — We’re trying to help a tiny little Turtle come out of her shell this Pet Connection Thursday.

Turtle is only about four months old and as Homeward Animal Shelter’s Heather Klefstad says, she is a little bit shy at first.

But it only takes her a few minutes of cuddling and quiet environment until she relaxes and starts engaging with the people around her.

Being hesitant is a pretty natural reaction for this little one, since she was all alone with no mother or littermates when she was taken into the local pound before Homeward scooped her up.

Despite her young age, Turtle is ready to be spayed pretty soon, and that makes her eligible for the program Homeward is running now.

Thanks to a donation from Subaru Muscatell, the shelter is knocking a hundred dollars off from the adoption fee for every spayed or neutered adult cat or dog at the shelter.
