Dogged Enthusiasm at the Fargo Moorhead Kennel Club

FARGO — The metro is going to the dogs…. and they want you to join them.

It’s the annual Fargo Moorhead Kennel Club All Breed show this weekend, and they’re expecting about one hundred twenty dogs to compete.

A number of them are from breeds that were just recognized this year as American Kennel Club official breeds.

It’s a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with breeds you might not have ever met in person, and find out whether they might be right for you to bring home.

The kennel club trainers say choosing a breed based on its disposition, exercise and mental stimulation needs is every bit as important as liking its looks.

The club’s Lisa Braun and Elizabeth Nelson, along with their show dogs Snitch and Chappell Roan, joined the Morning Show to talk about why putting their puppies into the right owners’ hands is so critical to the work they do, and what you can learn if you attend the show this weekend.
