United Way Hosts Annual Meeting and Celebration

The United Way of Cass Clay celebrated giving back to the community on Thursday.
At their annual meeting and celebration, The United Way recognized companies and individuals who raised money and volunteered to help those impacted by poverty.
Thanks to these donations the United Way was able to give food to over 12,000 families in need. Many others were able to receive help finding jobs, childcare, and housing.
They say that many of their fundraisers start out as small projects, but can grow to make a big impact.

“It sometimes starts with $400 from a business, and I know we’re celebrating a business this year that went from $400 on their first campaign to over $16,000.” Karla Isley, President and CEO of United Way of Cass Clay said.
