United Way of Cass-Clay is celebrating 17 years of “Gobble it Up.”

Seven dollars gets you a turkey sandwich, chips, a drink and a frozen treat.

Even more appetizing — the proceeds go to help families living in poverty through the region.

And more families are struggling with this locally than you might realize.

Often, the signs of poverty can be hidden in plain sight.

The event is September 19th from 11 to 1 at all Hornbacher’s in the metro.

You can also preorder and take your lunches to go.
