LIVE: Impact Fargo 2024
FARGO — The kids are taking over the town.
And you can help them do it.
Impact Fargo is back for the first time in person since 2019.
The even invites all high school students across Fargo to come get face time with each other and with city leaders to address students’ top issues in our community.
It’s an annual event created by the city of Fargo’s Youth Initiative to get students more involved in civic leadership.
The event also gives students actionable steps they can take to make a difference.
It’s set for this coming Tuesday, so if students want to attend, they should get registered now.
It won’t count as an unexcused absence, but students do need parental permission.
Fargo Youth Initiative Chair McKenzie Olson, a student at North High, says her peers are already focusing on student mental health, homelessness in the metro, including student homelessness, and a new concern, educational justice.
Olson joined the Morning Show for a live interview about why it’s important for students to have their voices heard.
