LIVE: Christkindlmarkt Comes Back

FARGO — we’re hurtling headlong toward holiday shopping season, but we have a way to help you slow things down a bit.

The metro’s traditional, open-air, European style Christmas market, “Christkindlmarkt,” is back in downtown Fargo this weekend.

It’s back complete with lighted trees, an expanded S’mores selection by the fire, photo sessions with Santa, and live choral performances.

The indoor-outdoor market also features local artisans and small business vendors to get you started on your seasonal shopping.

The market is a big draw for folks looking to experience a more old-fashioned holiday shopping experience to help you bring out their inner Christmas elves.

Folkways Development director and “elf” Emma McIntyre joined the Morning Show to talk about what’s fresh and new at this old-fashioned holiday tradition, and what you’ll find if you’re in downtown either of this year’s two different Christkindlmarkt weekends.
