New Town Man Jailed in Jamestown After Assaulting Officers During Traffic Stop Near Medina

MEDINA, N.D. (KVRR) — A man is jailed in Jamestown after assaulting a trooper and county deputy on I-94 east of Medina, North Dakota Saturday afternoon.
The trooper responded to a report of a reckless driver around 1:30 p.m.
37-year-old Angelo White of New Town resisted arrest and began fighting with the trooper who then called for backup.
A Foster County Sheriff’s deputy responded and was also assaulted by White before other troopers and Stutsman County deputies arrived and took him into custody.
White is facing a number of charges including assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest and DUI.
The trooper suffered minor injuries.
