LIVE: Get Ready for Super Bowl Sunday with the Biggest Party Animals Around

FARGO — We’re wild with excitement about Super Bowl Sunday, which you can catch with daylong coverage starting Sunday morning and all day long right here on KVRR.

So excited, in fact, we went to the Red River Zoo to find out more about the team mascots — eagles, for the Philadelphia Eagles, and the wolves, which are the Kansas City Chiefs’ mascot.

We went live behind the scenes (and even into the eagle’s enclosure) with zookeepers Jacob Drabin and Madison Karst, and the Zoo’s executive director Sally Jacobson, to find out how these animals represent strength, resilience, and teamwork — three great qualities that make for a winning sports mascot and team.

And find out how one of the zoo’s famous red pandas, Waveland, made up her mind for a special “panda pigskin pick” to let us know her prediction about which team will win on Superbowl Sunday.

The zoos is internationally known for its red panda breeding program, which enjoys enormous success with this endangered species, and which sends red pandas to zoos all over the world to help with the conservation of and public education about these beautiful animals.

Find out more in our live interviews about all the different species and how their qualities of resilience, teamwork and strength make for a winning combination in each.

Kickoff is at 5:30 PM Sunday.
