LIVE: Making Phillies for the Super Bowl

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — With the Philadelphia Eagles set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on KVRR Sunday, it’s the perfect chance to add one of America’s most iconic street foods to your Big Game feast.

Anthony Bachman has been serving up Fargo Fillies since 2017, and he says the key to a good Philly is in the ingrediants.

He recommends shaved ribeye steak, peppers and onions, and of course a good roll that can hold up to the filling.

He makes his own cheese whiz sauce, but you can also use provolone.

For your party, he recommends making the fillings in batches ahead of time and having a make your own sandwich bar.

“You could make large batches of these. When we make ours we make them to order, but this is something you could make ahead and put in the crock-pot, or keep all your ingredients separate and have somebody build it like a build your own sandwich.”
