Democrat Trygve Hammer announces second run for U.S. House of Representatives in ND

MINOT, N.D. (KVRR) — The Democrat who lost to Julie Fedorchak for North Dakota’s lone U.S. House seat in 2024 is running against her again.
In his campaign release, Trygve Hammer said, “Right now we have no voice in Congress”.
Hammer is a retired Marine, former educator and oil field roughneck and current political columnist.
He says the issues they talked about in the last campaign have not been addressed.
“North Dakotans are not better off now than they were a year ago.”
Hammer lost to Fedorchak by a nearly 39-point margin.
He also lost a race for North Dakota Public Service Commission in 2022 to Sheri Haugen-Hoffart by a 40-point margin.
Hammer finished third in a four-person race for a state House seat in District 6 in 2020, where the top two vote-getters were elected.
