Pet Connection: Meet Babka and Snowflake

FARGO — If you’ve ever had a newborn in your life, you probably remember just how much work they can be.

The long, sleepless nights, the frequent crying, the feedings every couple of hours.

And for the volunteers of Cat’s Cradle, that’s what they do every time someone brings in someone like little Snowflake.

He was born prematurely two weeks ago — so premature, his mother’s milk hadn’t even come in.

But foster carers with Cat’s Cradle have him safe at home getting the round-the-clock care he needs, and he’s well on his way to growing into an adoptable kitten in just a few short weeks.

One of those kittens, Babka, has gotten through that fragile stage of life, and she’s ready to go to her furever home.

She was raised by the same foster mom who’s taking care of tiny Snowflake, and now, at about 12 weeks old, she’s one of the best-socialized kittens around.

She loves to be handled and cuddled, and is calm and friendly even with strangers in new situations, like for her Pet Connection appearance at KVRR.

Cat’s Cradle’s Sarah Schweigert joined Snowflake and Babka on the Morning Show to talk about how these kittens came into their care, what it takes to be a foster, and how you can learn more about sweet Babka and maybe be her furever family.
