Residents of two apartment units displaced after south Fargo fire

FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – Residents of two apartment units are displaced after a fire in south Fargo Tuesday night.
Fire Battalion Chief Joe Mangin says crews responded to 3160 33rd Street S. at 9:20 p.m. for reports of alarms sounding in the building. While they were on their way, another caller reported a bedroom fire in a second floor unit.
When firefighters got to the scene, flames were extending outside the building through a window. Crews extinguished the fire quickly.
The person living in the unit where the fire started was able to get out safely and the rest of the building was evacuated. Most residents were able to go back to their units after the building was cleared of smoke.
The unit where the blaze started has extensive fire damage and the unit below it has water damage.
No one was hurt. The cause is under investigation and a damage estimate is not available.
Crews were at the scene for about 3.5 hours.
