4th Annual Print Fest Celebrates Art Form Meaningful to Rourke Art Gallery
The event gives local printmakers a chance to reach a much wider audience with their work.

MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) – A local museum held its annual celebration of one specific art form this weekend.
Every year, on the first Saturday in May, The Rourke Art Gallery in Moorhead hosts Print Fest.
Printmakers from all around the region are invited to showcase and sell their work to the public.
The day also served as the debut for the museum’s print vending machine, which sells miniature prints for a dollar and will now be a permanent fixture at The Rourke.
Museum staff said that prints hold a special place in their hearts and that it’s an honor to support local artists in this fashion.
“Our founding director, James O’Rourke, was a printmaker. He did woodcuts and linocuts,” explained Jonathan Rutter, executive director and curator of The Rourke.
“We just like to celebrate printmaking as a medium. Give them the opportunity to sell their beautiful work and educate people on what printmaking is,” he added.
The event additionally included screenprinting classes and food provided by Duck Duck Goose Food Company.
