LIVE: Pet Connection: Meet Cricket
WEST FARGO — If you’re looking for someone who’s always in the mood for a chat, you couldn’t do better than this little lovebug, Cricket.
She’s a blue-capped conure who comes to Pet Connection from CAARE Avian Rescue, and like a lot of conures, she is quite noisy, so she’s not for somebody who’s going to be in an apartment with here, at least not if you value your relationship with your neighbors.
But if you have a little more privacy, and a little prior experience with birds, Cricket would be as endearing a new buddy as anyone could ask.
Not only does she whisper in your ear, she also gives kisses and snuggles, and loves to sit on your shoulder.
However, Cricket is afraid of people’s hands, so if you decide to introduce yourself to her in the hopes of becoming her forever person, it’s something to keep in mind until she’s more used to you.
Cricket is 18 years old, which sounds daunting, except that her species can live to be nearly 30, so chances are good you’d have many years to enjoy many interesting “conversations” with her.
In spite of her sweet and charming personality, Cricket’s already been returned to CAARE three different times. It’s hard to understand why.
It’s time to give Cricket a new story to tell and find her that forever home.
