UPDATE: Name of Victim Released in Grand Forks Homicide Investigation

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR:UPDATE 1:35PM 3/7/24) — A juvenile is in custody for murder after a deadly stabbing early this morning in Grand Forks.
Officers responded to an apartment building in the 1700 block of 36th Avenue South around 3 a.m.
They found 24-year-old Anfernee Economy of Grand Forks on the ground with a stab wound to the upper part of his body.
Economy died at the scene.
Police say the 17-year-old male suspect from Grand Forks is not being identified at this time since he is a juvenile.
They say it appears two groups of people were involved in a fight when the victim was stabbed.
Police are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the stabbing or has other information to contact them.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) – The Grand Forks Police Dept. is reporting that a man died early Thursday morning after being stabbed in the chest. This happened around 3:00 a.m. in the 1700 Block of 36th Ave. S.
A juvenile, male suspect is in custody.
According to the report, a fight broke out between two groups of people and the victim was stabbed during it. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
