MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Moorhead Area Public Schools is awarded a $100,000 grant from the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry’s Youth Skills Training program.

This grant allows Moorhead to establish a program for students over 16 with work experience in five specific industries: advanced manufacturing, agriculture, automotive, healthcare and information technology.

Superintendent Dr. Brandon Lunak says the program aligns perfectly with their Moorhead High School Career Academy.

Moorhead is one of 17 districts selected by the state to receive the grant.
