LIVE: Mall of America planning for big Black Friday bash

BLOOMINGTON, MINN. (KVRR) – It’s one of the busiest shopping days of the year, and as one of the biggest shopping venues in the country, the Mall of America is pulling out all the stops to make it a memorable day.

They’ll be treating guests to contests, with gift cards and prizes on offer including the chance to win $2,500 just for showing up.

There will also be performances going on throughout the day, with each part of the mall giving off different vibes for everyone to enjoy.

Black Friday plans are worked on by the mall throughout the year to make sure their guests will get the most of the experience.

They say their advice to guests is to take it slow and enjoy.

“Honestly, it’s about slowing down. I mean I understand the push for the rush, but when you’re here take the time enjoy to be with your family and friends. Grab that cup of coffee, stroll around, look at all the décor, listen to the music, and really soak it in, because it is a special time of year.”

The Mall of America will open for Black Friday at 7 A.M.
