One Person Found Dead During Overnight Apartment Fire in Wadena, Minnesota

WADENA, Minn. (KVRR) — One person has died in a large apartment fire in Wadena, Minnesota.
Fire crews were called out around 10:45 last night and spent the night battling the fire in the frigid weather.
The building is located at 123 Bryant Avenue Southeast.
They arrived to find heavy flames coming from an upstairs window.
In addition to the one fatality, twelve people have been displaced.
Those tenants are being housed at AmericInn.
Hotel staff are working with the Red Cross to coordinate donation efforts since many people lost everything they own.
Wadena County Human Services is in need of gift cards to Walmart to purchase coats, boots and toiletry items.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
