LIVE: Pet Connection: Meet Hannon

FARGO — She’s a pocket-size treat for Pet Connection Thursday, but Hannon the blue heeler/Australian shepherd cross probably won’t stay that way.

She’s part of a “surprise” litter of three that came in to 4 Luv of Dog shelter, and her two brothers have more of the typical brindle markings of blue heelers.

However, you can see in her body shape that’s she’s got a classic blue heeler build, and she’s also got the energy and intelligence.

Hannon’s an alert, observant and affectionate little puppy who gave everyone kisses when she came in to the Morning Show studio with 4 Luv foster Aleyna Leibfried.

Aleyna says this four and half month old has a lot of energy at home, and so if you want to adopt her, be prepared to give her lots of exercise and mental stimulation.

She’s only 19 pounds, but with plenty of growing to do, you’ll want to have a yard or plenty of walks and trips to the dog park planned.

She gets along very well with other dogs as well as humans, so she’d be a great addition to a household who already has dogs.

Heelers like to herd, so if you have kids, she’ll likely want to help you keep them in line.

And best of all, she doesn’t do a lot of barking, so noise isn’t a consideration.

4 Luv is holding a “Meet the Pups” event at Natural Pet Center this weekend, and Hannon will be there along with 7 other dogs who are up for adoption.

If she’s the smart little sweetie you and your family are looking for, check out her profile and event information, here:
